AH! YES Vaginal Moisturising Gel Review
My Verdict
I really love this product as it looks and feels super premium, whilst knowing it is good for my body! As someone who is careful about the ingredients in the products that go near 'down there', I am so excited to be using a product where I don't have to worry! The pH balance is similar to a vagina's natural pH, so I know that after using it, I am less likely to get an infection. I certainly felt that is gel promoted natural moisture, as I didn't feel dry or discomfort in my day. I wouldn't recommend using it as a sexual lubricant, simply because it dries out quickly with friction. If you really wanted to, I'd recommend a small bullet vibrator, but nothing more adventurous. Those with a larger budget would love this product, but those who appreciate a lower price tag, maybe look for another vaginal moisturiser; this one isn't so friendly for the bank balance...

About The AH! YES Vaginal Moisturising Gel
Ah Yes Vaginal Moisturiser is a moisturising gel that can be rubbed onto the vulva, as a way to prevent dryness and promote natural moisture. This is a water-based product that can used with rubber, latex and polyisoprene condoms or any sex toy material. This gel has a thin consistency that is watery when rubbed onto the skin. It comes in premium packaging - a cardboard box to package the plastic tube bottle. The design is modern and discrete, making this product look expensive and high-end. Ah Yes moisturising gel has an acidic pH balance of 5, which is great for vulva owners as it attempts to match the natural pH of a vagina. It is also FDA approved and only made of organic ingredients and doesn't include glycerin or parabens. Despite this gel being slightly white tinted, it does not leave a stain on clothing or bed sheets, and is very easy to wash out.
Pros
- ✅The ingredients are safe and neutral for your body
- ✅Stops vaginal dryness and promotes moisture
- ✅The bottle is easy to use

Design
The design and overall look of this product looks sleek and luxurious. Firstly, the white packaging looks clean and discrete, almost like a cream or body moisturiser. The subtle pink accents relate to it being a 'female' product and the thin line design is aesthetically please. The large lettering and branding is modern and easy to read; I would make the 'vaginal moisturising gel' label slightly larger, but it is probably small to go with the subtlety of the product. Ah Yes have been clever about their placement of logos that are important to show the customer; like the 'certified organic'. Overall, the whole design looks expensive and professional and I would be proud to display this on my bathroom shelf without shame.
Ease of Use
This personal moisturiser is a water-based product meaning that it is compatible with all condom types and sex toy materials. This also helps the vulva produce it's own natural moisture and helps to maintain it throughout the day. If you were to use this gel as a sexual lubricant, it is compatible with all sex toy materials, including silicone. I would only recommend using this gel with small sex toys, as it is very thin, so I don't think it would be able to coat the toy, therefor not lasting a long period of time. It does become slightly tacky and dries out quickly when friction occurs, so you will have to occasionally re-apply. I would therefore recommend during personal masturbation or early foreplay with a partner.
Quality
As this moisturiser is made for vulva owners, Ah Yes have tried to match its pH to be similar to the pH of a vagina. When carrying out my personal tests, I tested this gel to have a pH of 5, but the packaging says that it has a pH of 4. Regardless of the specific number, both readings are acidic and close to the natural pH of a vagina. This is great as it reduces the risk of getting a vaginal infection, due to imbalance of acidity levels. This product is also FDA approved, showing that it has safe chemicals that can interact with your body. This is very important to me especially if I am going to be using the gel on the daily, as I don't want any negative side effects after wearing this moisturiser. The ingredients in this product are: Aqua (water), Linum usitatissimum (Flax) Extract*, Aloe barbadensis leaf juice powder (Aloe vera)*, Ceratonia siliqua (Locust bean gum)*, Cyamopsis tetragonolobus (Guar gum)*, Sodium chloride, Xanthan Gum, Potassium sorbate, Citric Acid and Phenoxyethanol.
Price
The price tag on this product is certainly more than other vaginal moisturising gels on the market, so if you're on a budget, then I wouldn't recommend this product. Sure, you're definitely paying for a high quality product - the packaging looks expensive and the product works well and feels conditioning on the skin. I don't think Ah Yes are asking an unreasonable amount for the product, it is just one of the more expensive options on the market. I personally think it is worth the money, if you're willing to pay it.
Performance
If you are someone who experiences vaginal dryness, then I would recommend using this moisturiser on the daily. Yet, I wouldn't recommend using this moisturiser as a lube, because when friction occurs, it tends to dry out quickly. If you wanted to, I would recommend using it with a small bullet vibrator and not a large toy, as I think it would work for a short time. using it for foreplay, I think it would do a good job, but for sex, I would recommend a much wetter moisturiser that didn't dry out so quickly. This gel is is reasonably thin and has a runny/watery consistency to it. When doing the 'Drop off a spoon test', it dropped off quickly, showing its' thin texture. With it being so thin, it is a comfortable moisturiser to wear throughout the day, to keep your vagina moisturised.
Packaging
The packaging of this product is great, I really love it. First of all, the tube of gel came inside a box, and if you know me, you know I LOVE a box. A box to me makes the product look and feel more expensive and a premium product, as it feels like the company have put more thought and effort into it. A box adds and outer layer to opening the product, so it is more of an experience and makes it feel more special. The bottle itself is a plastic tube with a clip-close lid, that you can easily squeeze out the gel, similar to a tube of toothpaste. I love these types of bottles, as I can get down the the very last drop! I can really get my money's worth! To make it even better, I would have used a pump lid instead, as I personally think they are easier to use and look even more luxurious.
Stain Test
If you were to wear this as a vaginal moisturiser on your daily, it is very easy to wash out of clothes, like underwear. It doesn't leave a lasting stain after washing, and it is very easy to wash off the skin, whilst still leaving the area hydrated and smooth. I don't typically like a product that feels like it is still on my skin after washing, but this moisturising gel is different, as it didn't leave me feeling greasy, but hydrated. Looking at the gel, it is not entirely translucent, it is a slightly white colour, so if you're wearing dark coloured underwear, you will see it on the clothing. But again, it doesn't leave any lasting stains or discolouration after washing it in the washing machine.
