Apollo Hydro Power Stroker Review
My Verdict
If you're looking for a toy to use in the shower, this is a great one! With a very strong suction cup to secure it to the shower wall and many vibrating functions, the Apollo Hydro Stroker is a nice toy to have. It does have some minor drawbacks in terms of size which I will describe in my review but in my opinion, they wouldn't dissuade me from buying the toy. Overall, I wouldn't buy the Apollo as a primary or single toy if I were to own only one; though, it is a good toy to add to a collection and for use in the shower specifically.

About The Apollo Hydro Power Stroker
The Apollo Hydro Stroker, in my opinion, was built for use in the shower (it even has 'hydro' in the name). It consists of a hard plastic outer case with a strong suction cup on one end and the stroker end at the other. The stroker portion has an interior made of TPE with a spiky texture. The spikes look uncomfortable but are actually pretty soft. In addition, there are a variety of different vibration speeds and patterns — all of which are powered by AAA batteries; a bit surprising as many toys usually are rechargeable. There's an option also to unscrew the suction cup and add a closed off base to the toy so that it can be used without the suction cup.
The vibrations of the Apollo Hydro Power Stroker are fairly quiet, very powerful, and somewhat buzzy
Pros
- ✅No rechargeable batteries means no charging time
- ✅Suction cup is very strong
- ✅All vibration patterns feel great
Cons
- ❌Takes up a lot of space
- ❌Stroker insert is wide
- ❌Texture is not high quality

Personal Experience
Initial Thoughts
After opening the Apollo Hydro Stroker, I was surprised at how large the toy actually was. It looked like it could be as big as a person’s forearm and I kind of thought that would make it overly bulky and annoying to use. It did not come with batteries so I added the required AAA batteries in the base of the toy before turning it on. Moving through the vibration options, I was happy to note that there were quite a few of them. The interior texture of the stroker was just okay — not really extremely soft or especially exciting in any way.First Test
I tried the Apollo Hydro Stroker in the shower and was surprised at how strong the suction cup was! It was actually really easy to remove the suction cup too just by prying at it a bit. There were many vibration patterns and it was nice to have those options. If I didn’t like one, it was very easy to switch to another and I didn’t have to wait between patterns which was nice. I was also happy to see that the suction cup did not leave any marks on the shower wall which I was a bit concerned about.Second Test
I tried removing the suction cup base and adding the base cap instead which was very simple to do. I really could tell that the toy was large and I thought the size was kind of unnecessary, just a lot of plastic casing taking up space. I really feel that this toy is best used in the shower because the quality of the stroker is not the best. Compared to others, it’s very wide, the texture is not the best, and the material is a bit sticky.Design
The suction cup design was great and worked very well! Otherwise, I would say the rest of the toy is a bit average. The stroker texture was not the best when compared to the feel of others and I thought the toy takes up a lot of space. It didn't feel like a cheaply made toy and the vibrations were great. However, the design overall didn't make it feel like a luxurious toy for me.
Ease of Use
The Apollo Hydro Stroker is incredibly easy to set up. I thought the suction cup would take some getting used to but it was very easy to stick on a shower wall and also very simple to remove. The vibration speeds were also very intuitive--no long presses or travel locks, just pressing the power and vibration button was all that was needed. The only thing I could think of related to ease of use might be that the toy is kind of large so if you are using it in a small space or shower, then it might be difficult.
Quality
The Apollo Hydro Stroker felt neither luxurious or cheap. It works for what it's intended to do and nothing more in my opinion. The only area that could be improved here is the interior quality of the stroker as I feel there are a plenty of other strokers that have better quality interior textures or materials.
Price
Based on the quality of this toy, I believe the price is a bit steep at $67.99. The area that could be improved most is the interior texture of the toy and perhaps some other touches to make it feel more expensive such as detailed instructions (there weren't really any, just generic instructions for all of this brand's toys). There are some great features to this toy such as the suction cup or vibrations but combined, I don't think they are worth the full price. I would wait for a sale to buy this toy.
Performance
I thought the quality of the vibrations for this toy were very nice with lots of variation. There were many options; none were weak and they were neither overly loud or quiet. I felt that the overall size of the toy could have been smaller.
Packaging
The packaging for the Apollo was basic--some graphics and information on the box and very minimal packaging on the inside. If I had seen the toy on a physical store shelf, I might have thought it was a slightly less expensive toy.
Materials and care
The Apollo has a large ABS plastic case and TPR stroker interior which is all waterproof. The suction cup is very strong and easy to remove which also makes the toy perfect for the shower. It doesn't come with any storage case or bag but it dries very quickly and the lack of rechargeable batteries means there's no charging time.
