Personal Experience
I really enjoy nipple stimulation, and, in fact, most of the time I actually require it to feel fully aroused. Depending on my mood, I sometimes prefer more intense play with pinching, pulling and clamping, while other times I prefer gentle licking and stroking. When I heard about the Slow Sex Nipple Play Gel, I was so intrigued, but I wondered which kind of play it would be best for.
Short and Sweet
The first time I broke it out, I asked my partner to use it on me. The first thing I noticed was the strong coconut scent, which I personally loved (it smells like actual coconut rather than that artificial sunscreen coconut smell), and then a sensation that felt a lot like licking but was actually the roller ball going over my skin. It was super smooth and very pleasant, and the formula itself felt slightly cooling but nothing too drastic. The sensation also faded away pretty quickly, within a minute or so. I wasn’t sure if that was because my partner was also playing with my nipples and moving the gel around, so I tried it again at a later point on my own. This time, I noticed more of a nice cooling effect that lasted a little longer, but still not more than a couple of minutes.“Kissable”?
One of the features of this product that Bijoux Indiscrets promotes is that it’s “kissable”, meaning that you can kiss the nipples and transfer the gel to other parts of the body. While that’s a nice idea, I think that the effect of the gel is just too subtle to be able to be transferred like that. You could use it directly on other body parts, like the clit, but just be aware that the roller ball can be quite difficult to clean, so it’s probably best to roll some on your finger and apply it that way.Design
I think the design of the tube is pretty minimalistic, but I appreciate that it doesn't have the gaudy, oversexualized branding that so many other 'sensitivity gels' do. Instead, it feels like a nice skincare or makeup brand — simple but still quite luxurious.
Ease of Use
The Slow Sex Nipple Play Gel is super easy to apply, which I love. The roller ball means that it's not messy or fiddly to apply, and also that you or a partner can do it one-handed! Since the effect is so gentle, it's very approachable for newbies as well.
Quality
There's no doubt for me that this is a high-quality product. The packaging is nice, the formula is smooth and gentle on the skin, and all of their listed ingredients are skin-safe. While it might seem like the bar is on the floor, it's actually not uncommon to not even have a list of ingredients for a product like this, so I appreciate that Bijoux Indiscrets are transparent with their customers.
Price
At around $17, this nipple stimulating gel might be a little more expensive than some similar alternatives, but only by a couple of dollars. Whether it's worth it to you I think depends entirely on what you're looking for. If you're looking for intense stimulation and lots of tingles, then you may prefer a warming or tingling lube instead, but if you like gentle stimulation and want something to simply enhance nipple play with a partner or by yourself, I think the Slow Sex Nipple Play Gel is a wonderful, sensual product for that.
Performance
The cooling formula does work, but the effect can be quite subtle. Depending on what you enjoy, that might be perfect, but I was honestly looking for something with a bit more zing. I also wish that it at least lasted a little longer. That being said, it was still very fun and sensual to use with my partner.
Packaging
While the tube itself may look more like skincare than a sex toy, the small box that this gel comes in is a little more explicit. It's still quite beautiful, but it definitely evokes ideas of sensuality and nudity! I think it added a nice touch to the whole unboxing experience, and I appreciated that it was all recyclable.
Materials and care
This gel has a water-based, body-safe formula that's gentle on skin and non-staining. Unlike other stimulating gels, it doesn't contain any tingling or heating ingredients, so it shouldn't cause any skin irritation.
