Design

The swing is aesthetically simple, featuring black straps and silver steel components, which should fit seamlessly into most BDSM setups. While the design is basic, it hits important points for strap adjustments. That said, with a bit more thought put into the design, I would have been willing to pay extra for a few more adjustable points, thicker padding, and a wider crossbar and seating area to enhance comfort. The width of the hanging straps span 19.5 inches (49.5cm) which isn't quite wide enough - always add a few extra inches beyond your waist diameter if possible to move the pressure from your hips to your buttocks. Overall, the current design prioritizes functionality, but sacrifices some comfort and usability for larger or heavier users. The whole package is easy to take down and small enough to tuck away in a drawer or under the bed if company is expected - just don't let their attention wander to the ring in the ceiling.

Ease of Use

While it is possible to get seated in the swing without help, it is significantly easier with assistance. The steel crossbar is especially helpful for getting settled but the partner seated in the swing will definitely need help with the stirrups. Additionally, the straps stemming from the crossbar are too long for my wife to reach it comfortably and are unfortunately not adjustable. This swing is not suitable for someone with mobility or grip issues due to its limited accessibility and need for assistance during use.

Quality

The swing feels well-made and durable, with sturdy steel components and high-quality black straps that give confidence in their construction. My initial skepticism about the load-bearing capacity of the chains was quickly dispelled after stress testing it at close to 200 pounds and a bit of bouncing to be extra sure. The swing is quiet during use, aside from the extra chain length clinking, which can be easily fixed by securing it with tape. Overall, there are no signs of poor quality in the materials or construction.

Price

At $100, the swing offers good value for the quality and sturdiness of the materials. However, I would have happily paid an additional $25 for improvements such as a wider bar and thicker padding to enhance comfort. While most of the swing is adjustable, the straps hanging directly from the bar are not, which is a missed opportunity for greater flexibility and comfort that likely wouldn’t have added much to the price if implemented. One unique advantage of this swing is that, if it doesn’t fully meet your needs, its parts can be repurposed for future use. The included length of chain, carabiner, spring, and eyebolt can easily be used in conjunction with another swing you purchase later. This flexibility makes it a practical investment, even if you eventually decide to upgrade or try a different model.

Performance

While the swing did not meet my expectations in terms of comfort and usability, it may still live up to the promises made on the website for those of lesser weight. The swing is sturdy, and the chains and materials held up well during stress testing. However, comfort was an issue, especially for users over 130 pounds, as the padding was insufficient and the straps lacked adjustability in crucial areas. Maneuverability was also limited, particularly without assistance, making it difficult to fully enjoy the swing's potential.

Packaging

The swing arrived in a discreet, compact box as expected, with no indication of the contents on the outside. While the packaging wasn’t custom like some larger products from other brands, it was well-organized, with each component fitting neatly inside. All parts, including the chains, carabiner, and straps, were individually wrapped in plastic to protect them during shipping. The packaging was functional and provided clear, thorough instructions for installation.

Materials and care

All materials used in the swing are body-safe, latex-free, and easy to clean with a rag soaked in warm water and antibacterial soap. The pads are covered in microfiber which makes wiping them down simple. The swing does not come with a dedicated storage method but can easily and safely be stored in a sack or bag of your choice.
