My Verdict
My overall verdict of the Colt XL Butt Plug is very positive for an anal afficionado like me. I have other large toys and long toys, but this gives a unique feeling of being very filled without being overwhelming. Though the neck is smaller than other toys I have, this makes it more comfortable for longer term wear such as walking around the house or engaging in other physical activities. Having a constant pressure on the prostate with the Colt XL while engaging in coitus is a wonderful and unique experience I look forward to repeating often. Initial insertion is a bit more difficult than other longer toys that taper from a smaller tip, so I require a bit more warm up - then again, I suffer from over-developed pelvic floor muscles. Therapeutically speaking, the Colt XL provides an awesome amount of pressure to the internal pelvic walls that gives massage like relief to over tensioned muscles and helps them to relax. Personal Experience
I was very excited when I first held the Colt XL Plug, as it brought back wonderful memories of a similar smaller toy. I like how smooth and soft to the touch this large butt plug is, while still being heavy and solid. I didn’t detect any odors, molding marks, or blemishes, so initial appearances are that it is a good quality toy. After a week of testing, the quality and performance are still very good. I really enjoy how filling it is and how stuffed I feel as it puts pressure on my sphincters and prostate without being overwhelming. Because I’ve been using softer toys of the same size for the past few months, I did have a bit of difficulty getting it in the first few times. The Colt unforgivingly holds it’s shape very well.
Design
The Colt XL Plug is well designed to take some heavy use. Due to my overly tight muscles, even after considerable warmup, I still have to exert considerable pressure to get it in and the neck has stood up well. The length of the neck in relation to the base and body of the plug is excellent for keeping pressure on the sphincters. The Colt XL feels more luxurious than it looks, but after all, feel is the most important aspect of a good anal toy. I really appreciate how well the design works and feels for me personally once the plug is in.
Ease of Use
The bluntness of the tip makes it difficult to insert and would probably work better if it was a bit longer. The insertion difficulties I experience are more due to my body than the design. Lube, lube, and lots more lube is a must, as all anal enthusiasts know oh so well. So after a good warm up and lube application, a fair amount of pressure, and pop it's in hugging me from within. The short narrow neck work well to keep it in a comfortable place and without fear of it accidentally popping out while performing other physical activities or experiencing complete relaxation - it stays in place well.
Quality
After some extended testing the quality of this plug is standing up well. No signs of degradation, wear, or losing its shape. The listed description states "premium medical grade silicone | phthalate-free | Non-Toxic | Body-Safe" and I detect no reason to disbelieve. Materials are extremely important to me so a quality toy is made with quality materials and the Colt is proving to be a high quality toy.
Price
I'm all about materials and production quality, so I consider the price to be very reasonable. I once had a similar product that was a lot cheaper and it became a quick waste of money when it became toxic. The Colt XL Butt Plug is a hefty chunk of great feeling silicone that I feel confident to use and will be in my pleasure collection for many years. Money is always well spent when the product will last for years.
Performance
Performance of the Colt XL Butt Plug is amazing. The description states: "The Colt XL Butt Plug is no ordinary butt plug, its an ergonomically shaped plug designed for maximum anal stimulation. Slide the huge toy inside and fill yourself up with intense pleasure." For me, the moment the Colt poped into place, I forgot my name! The sensation and the pleasure is truly intense. The Colt is so filling that I feel empty inside with out it and find myself craving to have it again!
Packaging
The packaging is just your basic blister pack type, multi-use. I could easily imagine that it was designed to hang on a wall hook in some toy shop. I actually appreciate company's that don't over design packaging that I have to pay for just to throw away. Especially since the Colt XL Butt Plug was ordered online and mailed to me, packaging becomes a futile effort of waste. I am deducting a couple points though because it should have been shipped in a box instead of a shipping bag - the lady at the post office kind of gave me a knowing look because the shape can be felt through the bag. The mailing bag doesn't really matter to me, I kind of find it thrilling to wonder if mail handlers "know" what I ordered, but I'm sure there are those who might be a bit bothered.
Materials and care
"Premium medical grade 100% silicone is body safe / non porous" and the only soft materials I would ever choose to put in my body. Stainless steel and Glass are the only other materials I can trust. This toy is heavy helping me to believe that it is pure silicone as described. Of course it is waterproof which makes it super easy to clean with simple soap and water - for added peace of mind you could use toy cleaner, boil it, or throw it in the dishwasher.
