Iroha Minamo Review
My Verdict
The Minamo is one of the those toys that I would absolutely recommend to a friend, but wasn't quite my cup of tea. The squishy silicone is to die for, and the vibrations surprised me with how good they felt. However, g-spot vibrators are one of those things that don't click for everyone, and this one didn't quite hit my sweet spot. Even so, it's a very high-quality toy, and I know a couple of sex toy newbies who I would definitely suggest this to.

Personal Experience
I’m always excited to receive a toy from Iroha. Cute designs, pastel colors and innovative features — it just fits my vibe (pun intended). The Minamo is no exception, but it is a g-spot vibrator, which I was a little apprehensive about. My last Iroha g-spot toy was the Mai, which was disappointingly weak, so the first thing I tested out were the vibrations. Luckily, the Minamo’s felt stronger, which gave me hope!
Fabulous, But Not Truely For Me
This thing is seriously squishy. The whole shaft is covered in a thick layer of soft, oh-so squishable silicone that is so fun to play with. The slim, soft design slips in easily with a small amount of lube, and I had to do little-to-no warm up before I could starting playing around with it. First, I went for shallow penetration, and then tried to thrust it deeper, which was more enjoyable for me. However, it just wasn’t long enough for true deep stimulation — there wasn’t enough handle left for me to hold properly! The vibrations are halfway between buzzy and rumbly, which doesn’t mean much on its own, I realize. They’re surface level vibrations, but don’t feel tickly or numbing. In fact, they feel pretty good, especially on the higher settings. That being said, I enjoyed them much more on my clit, and couldn’t feel them so much when used internally. Externally, I could really press down and enjoy the vibes, and the squishy tip made it super comfortable, almost like the silicone was fully enveloping my clit.Design
This is one cute little vibe. I adore the pastel blue color and the funky waves on the shaft — it almost looks like a piece of fancy home decor! The slim shaft is great for quickies, but I do wish that it was a little longer, so that I could thrust it deeper whilst still having a good amount of handle to hold onto.
Ease of Use
The Minamo is very easy to use. The controls are very simple, though the since the buttons aren't labelled, you might have to familiarize yourself with them before you start playing. The two buttons act like + and - buttons to go up and down the settings, with the pattern being at the end of the list. The squishy exterior means you don't really have to do any warm-up beforehand, though I do still recommend using a touch of water-based lube, since the silicone can still drag a little on the skin.
Quality
Tenga products, even those that are a bit more experimental, are always great quality. The Minamo is a solid, well-made vibrator that feels like it will last you a long time. I appreciate the extras they've provided, like the charging case — it all adds to the feeling that you're receiving a luxurious, high-quality product.
Price
Whether this toy is worth the price for depends almost entirely on what kind of vibrations you need to orgasm, both in terms of internal vs external, and buzzy vs rumbly. It is a very high-quality product, and has lots of positives, like its squishiness and fairly strong vibes, that could make it worth paying the ~$120 for. However, if you know for sure that you need very rumbly vibrations to orgasm, or are looking for a very firm toy to use exclusively for g-spot stimulation, then you may be better off searching for an alternative.
Performance
The Minamo is one of the toys that I can't really find fault with, but it isn't the perfect fit for me. I like that the vibrations are pretty strong, but the buzziness isn't my personal favorite way to enjoy vibrations. That being said, I think I can see myself picking it back up again to experience that squishiness again!
Packaging
Iroha's packaging is always pretty, and this is no exception. The Minamo comes in a cardboard sleeve, with two pastel cardboard boxes inside. One contains the vibe and its charging case, and the other has the charging cable and some user information. It just feels very well-thought-out and aesthetically-pleasing, like opening a fancy gift!
Materials and care
The Minamo is covered in soft, velvety silicone that is non-porous and body-safe. The vibe is totally waterproof, so you can use it in the shower or bathtub, and you can easily clean it with warm water and mild, fragrance-free soap. Once clean, dry it thoroughly before storing away in the accompanying case. To charge it, make sure that the metal buttons are lined up with the pins in the case and then simply plug in the case with the included cable and a (not included) AC adapter. Just make sure that everything is fully dry first!
