Lelo Liv 2 Review
My Verdict
I think that the Lelo Liv 2 is a decent choice for those looking for a G-spot vibrator, if you're okay with the price tag and if you like your vibrations slightly more mild. I don't think that there is anything inherently wrong with the toy, but for the price it's lacking any sort of stand out feature, like a unique shape or high-powered vibrations. I think that it is of nice quality and that it comes with a great warranty, which is where you will get your money's worth. I would definitely happily use it again, but I don't think I would put it on my favorite toy list.

Personal Experience
While I am no stranger to G-spot toys, this is my first foray into the Lelo universe. I have always admired their toys from afar and was very excited to finally get to try my hand at one of their newer toys. When I turned thirty, I decided to invest more time and research into exploring G-spot toys, so I am always eager to try out a new shape, texture or brand to figure out what works for me.
First Look
I think that at first glance, the Lelo Liv 2 looks very similar to other toys on the market. It has a nice curve to ensure that it hits your G-spot, simple and easy controls, and pretty standard color options. The silicone is sleek and firm, it feels like a nice quality material. It thankfully does not have that tacky texture that some silicones can have that make every piece of fuzz in your home gravitate towards it and stick to it for eternity. The plum color is very pretty and fits in beautifully with the other toys in my collection. In the Moment
The Lelo Liv 2 is shorter than I’m used to for G-spot vibrators, so it took a little exploring for me to find the right spot. Once I did, I feel like it lived up to my expectations, but it didn’t exceed them. The vibrations were nice, the toy was easy to use and maneuver, and of course an orgasm felt great, but I didn’t feel wowed. I felt like I was with a comfortable sex buddy, it was a solid experience but I wouldn’t ever regale it to someone else at a party or at lively brunch chat. I think if the tip were spongey or textured or if it oscillated, I would be excited to experiment with it more. There are definitely more models out there for less money that you could have a more unique encounter with.Clitoral Stimulation?
While I think that the vibration intensity levels are great for a G-spot toy, I don’t think it’s strong enough for clitoral stimulation for me. I also prefer my clit toys to have a little give to them so I can find just the right spot to use them, and for me that can take a little maneuvering. I only mention this because Lelo touts the Liv 2 as both a G-spot and clitoral stimulation toy. It’s meant to be targeted clit stimulation, which I think would work better if it were stronger or had wider head.Design
The controls for the Lelo Liv 2 are on the more basic side, though they are easy to use. The Liv 2 comes in three color options, Cerise, Plum and Deep Blue, all of which are pretty, but fairly common toy colors. The shape has a slight curve in order to better reach your G-spot, which is the norm for these sort of toys. I do prefer a but more of a curve myself, but I think that this is a good shape that will work best for most people, especially those who are new to G-spot stimulation or firm, inflexible toys.
Ease of Use
The controls were intuitive and very easy to use. To increase or decrease the vibration strength, you push the plus or minus buttons. To change the patterns, you press the up or down arrow buttons. To ensure the toy is off, you will press the minus button until the toy stops vibrating. The control panel will light up as you click buttons, but will not stay lit to indicate that the toy is on, which I think could have been a helpful feature. It does stay on while charging though, which I was happy for since I would have struggled to tell if it were charging otherwise due to the cord sticking out of the port unusually far. I think that the Lelo Liv 2 is suitable for those with mobility or grip issues due to the fact that the buttons are simplistic and it is lightweight.
Quality
I think that the quality is definitely top notch. The silicone is silky smooth and the travel pouch is of equal quality. The silicone is firm and sturdy, and I think it would pass the test of time. The vibrations are a quiet rumble, even at its loudest. For the hefty price-tag, the charger could have fit a little smoother, as that does cheapen the aesthetic. I also think that if there was not a metallic strip between the silicone and plastic, that would help to elevate the look as well.
Price
Even though I have no major complaints about the Lelo Liv 2, I think that the price is a bit steep for what you are receiving. High quality silicone and pleasure aside, I think that for a luxury G-spot massager, you should have at least one very unique feature to justify the cost, like an app, remote control or unique shape. The drawstring bag and lube sample that are included are a nice touch though. I think what you are ultimately paying for is the resilience of the Lelo brand, as they are known for their long lasting toys and even include a warranty card in the box. With registration, your toy is warranted for one year and guaranteed for ten years.
Performance
The Lelo 2 states that it can provide 'unlimited climaxes'. While I think that the battery can certainly hold up to that promise with its quick charging capabilities, stable temperature and its long battery life, I think that it can take a lot of maneuvering and getting used to to get to that point. I don't think the vibration was as strong as it is described, which can be a make or break feature for some. The rigid nature of the toy and the shallow length could also prove difficult for some anatomies. I also don't think that the clitoral stimulation claim lives up to its reputation.
Packaging
I think that the packaging for the Lelo Liv 2 is very sleek and simplistic. It matches the air of luxury that the brand has established. I appreciate the sturdy box and the gold foiled lettering, which was a really nice detail in my opinion. I also like the fact that it comes with a smooth, black bag for storing your toy so that it doesn't get dirty. The box itself is fairly discreet except that it has a clear panel that shows off the toy, so if your package was unintentionally opened it would be quite obvious what was inside. There are no examples of how to use the toy, but there a a bunch of facts on the back regarding the Liv 2's waterproof nature, settings, shape and warranty details.
Materials and care
The Lelo Liv 2 is a petite toy, but it's made of a very sturdy inflexible silicone that is non-porous and body safe. The silicone feels very high quality, smooth and silky to the touch. The handle is made out of a hard white plastic that also feels like a nice quality. It's very lightweight, which is great for your luggage and also to prevent arm fatigue while in use. This toy is waterproof up to a depth of one meter, which makes it very easy to clean. I suggest using a gentle soap and warm water. I would be sure to also avoid silicone based lubes since this toy is made of silicone, and silicone toys work best with water based lube. The Lelo Liv 2 comes with a small black drawstring bag which makes it easy to toss into an overnight bag or your nightstand. It's also quite small, which makes storing it very easy. The only part of the toy that feels ill-made is the charger/charing port. The charger does not look like it fits properly in the toy and sticks out quite far. I gave it a few tries, but I could not push it in any further. It doesn't affect the charging of the toy, but I did get worried at first that I was sent a defective cord.
