8 Best Wand Vibrators
Out of all the weird and wonderful sex toys I’ve tested over the years, I always come back wands. If there’s one thing I know, it’s what makes a great wand vibrator, and today I’m going to be sharing the 8 best wand vibrators from the 30+ we’ve tested! Out of the many wands I’ve tried, nothing has come close to the incredible power and rumbliness of the Doxy Die Cast! However, you might be surprised to see that my beloved Doxy didn’t get the number one spot nor did the cult favorite Magic Wand Original!

Why I Chose It
I feel like the Fun Factory Vim is a bit of an underdog for the top spot, but I stand by this being a better wand than the ever-popular Magic Wand Original or Rechargeable. That’s not to say they aren’t great wands too, but the Vim just has a bit more to offer.
I have held the Vim (we had one in the office) and was pleasantly surprised by it’s rumbly vibrations. Much like the Doxy Die Cast, albeit not as powerful, the Vim has a weighted head that makes the vibrations feel more rumbly, especially the lower settings. Cassie tested it out for us and was impressed by it’s “deliciously powerful and rumbly” vibrations. I much prefer rumbly vibrations because they penetrate deeper and stimulate more of the internal clitoral structure.
Even though it has a weighted head, the Vim is much lighter than other wands I’ve held so it’s easier to manoeuvre and hold for longer periods of time.
Another unique feature of the Vim is that it has a lightly textured head that adds another dimension of stimulation. Cassie “absolutely loved the sensation of those wavy ridges on the head” and found that “the textures on the head helps “grip” the lube” meaning she didn’t need to reapply.
It’s also rechargeable and splashproof which makes it a little more practical. While I love my plug in wand, I’m terrified to get it wet every time I clean it!
Lastly, the Vim is incredibly quiet! I’ve never heard such a quiet vibrator. I tested the volume using a decibel meter and it didn’t go above 46 decibels even on the highest setting! Most wands I’ve tried sound like an airplane taking off but I would happily use this with other people in the house.
Runner Up Magic Wand Plus
- Up to 6,300 RPM with four intensities
- Corded with 3.2 ft long cable
Vibrations
Specifications
Pros
- ✅ Easy to use buttons
- ✅ Very powerful
- ✅ Quiet
- ✅ Never runs out of battery
Cons
- ❌ Only 4 speeds
- ❌ Not super rumbly
- ❌ No vibration patterns
Why I Chose It
If I wanted to experience the iconic Magic Wand, I would definitely go for the Magic Wand Plus over the Magic Wand Original. Most importantly, the Plus has a silicone head while the Original has a porous PVC head. It also packs a bit more power than the original.
Hayley reviewed the Magic Wand Plus for us and was impressed by it’s power, writing it “will thoroughly knock your socks off and leave you begging for more.” Personally, that’s exactly what I want in a wand!
Aside from it’s extreme power, for Hayley “the biggest surprise was how quiet the toy was!” She also loved “velvety and soft” head and that it “can take loads and loads of pressure.”
I picked the Magic Wand Plus as the runner up and not the test winner, though, because it’s not quite as rumbly as the Vim and has one less power setting.
Best on a Budget Mantric Rechargeable Wand Vibrator
- Rechargeable
- Compact design
- Waterproof
Vibrations
Specifications
Pros
- ✅ Curved handle gives comfortable reach
- ✅ Good battery life
- ✅ Powerful vibrations
- ✅ Extra quiet
Cons
- ❌ Battery could be longer
- ❌ Head not as broad as a full-size vibrator
Why I Chose It
Full-sized wands tend to be expensive as they use a lot of materials and have more powerful motors. This compact wand from Mantric packs a lot of power and delivers great quality, at a much lower price!
Victoria tested it out for us and wrote: “it is my favourite of any I have used before.” She loved the range of settings and being able to “change the patterns and the strength of the vibrations separately.”
She also found that the “curve of the wand makes it easy to hold and reach.” I can also see the curve and smaller size being great for using during partnered sex. Plus, the smaller head makes it easier to use during penetration or with other toys.
Lastly, Victoria appreciated that the Mantric is super easy to clean as it’s waterproof and covered in silicone. A quick clean up is always a pro in my books!
Best for Beginners Lovehoney Dream Wand
- Compact size
- Waterproof
Vibrations
Specifications
Pros
- ✅ Easy to use
- ✅ Powerful
- ✅ Unitimidating
Cons
- ❌ Buzzier vibrations
- ❌ Loud
Why I Chose It
I chose the Lovehoney Dream Wand as the best wand vibrator for beginners for it’s unitimidating design. It’s also not as crazily powerful as some of the full-size wands in the review!
Naomi reviewed it for us and wrote: “Overall, I love this toy and would recommend it to others, especially beginners!”
She liked that “The curve makes it comfortable to hold while using and easy to use.” She also found the small size and curve meant her and her partner “were able to use this in so many positions.”
Another reason I chose it as the best for beginners is that the buttons have a simple design that makes “easy to figure out how to go through the patterns and intensities.”
Most Powerful Doxy Die Cast Wand Vibrator
- 3000-9000 rpms make this the most powerful wand on the market
- Weighted motor for rumblier vibrations
- Durable, weighty aluminium titanic alloy
Vibrations
Specifications
Pros
- ✅ Powerful vibrations
- ✅ Big light up buttons
- ✅ Comes with adapters for UK, EU, US & AU
- ✅ No charging required
Cons
- ❌ Too powerful for many
- ❌ Heavy to hold
- ❌ Very loud
Why I Chose It
This is my absolute favorite sex toy of all time. I got it back in 2022 and it has remained a firm favorite and I’ve not noticed any decline in quality whatsoever, and it’s got a lot of use! On the lower settings, it has the rumbliest vibrations I’ve ever come across, and the higher settings are so powerful, I’m too scared to go near them!
If you ever want to feel like a complete sub to a toy, this is the one to do it! The intense power, richter-scale rumbles, and sleek powerful body hold some kind of power over me, especially when in the hands my partner who enjoys the power that comes with it!
My only complaint is that the Doxy Wand is loud! Although, with all that rumbly power, it’s kind of to be expected!
One might also think that the corded feature is a con but I personally like how I don’t have to worry about my vibrator running out of juice midsession – especially with such a power house of a sex toy! I never have to remember to charge it and the cord is nice and long so you aren’t restricted.
At 690 grams, the Die Cast is one of the heavier wands out there. I love the added pressure that gives to the toy and how the weightiness gives it a high quality feel but it could be too heavy for some.
App-Controlled Lovense Domi 2
- App-control gives you greater customisation options and long-distance control
- Compact model is easier to manoeuvre, store, and transport
- Splash-proof for easy cleaning (PX6 water resistance)
Vibrations
Specifications
Pros
- ✅ Powerful vibrations
- ✅ App is reliable and easy to use
- ✅ Up to 6 hours battery
Cons
- ❌ Not fully waterproof
- ❌ Not quiet
Why I Chose It
Having tried a lot of different app enabled toys, Lovense is the brand I always come back to. It’s by far the best in terms of having a reliable connection and the fun features it offers! The Domi is no exception!
Our tester, Vern, was a little shocked by how powerful the Domi was! They wrote, “The first time I turned the Domi 2 on, it literally jumped out of my hand, the vibration was so strong!” They actually found the vibrations a little strong for their liking.
As the head is smaller than a full-size wand, Vern found that “The head of the wand can also be used for some internal penetration.”
They enjoyed using the app-controls and “especially loved the preset vibration patterns” and being able to make their own. I can also see the long distance feature and light up controls being a lot of fun for video sex!
Waterproof Dame Com Personal Wand Massager
- Ergonomic curves for ease of use
- Cordless/rechargeable
- Waterproof
Vibrations
Specifications
Pros
- ✅ Super rumbly vibrations
- ✅ Compact size
- ✅ Travel lock
Cons
- ❌ Shorter battery life
- ❌ Less powerful than other wands
- ❌ Vibrations travel down the handle
- ❌ Long charge time
Why I Chose It
Even though there are a few waterproof wands in this review, I wanted to include a full-sized waterproof wand. The Dame Com stood out to me as it also has a lovely curved shape that would make it easier to use in the bath or shower!
Vern tested the Dome Com absolutely loved it, writing “my experience with the Dame Com has been nothing but perfection.” They loved that “the vibrations are deep and rumbly without going overboard” and they could enjoy the power without being numbed out.
Vern was also impressed that “it is one of the quietest wands” they’ve used!
I also very much have to agree that the Dame Com has “a beautiful design all around!”

Wand Attachments
Wands are pretty versatile as is but add a few wand attachments and you can transform your wand into a powerful G-spot vibrator, prostate massager and much more!
Full-sized wands tend to have a head size of around 2.5 inches, meaning some wand attachments are compatible with different brands of wand. Always check the diameter of the wand head to see if the attachment will fit before ordering!
These wand attachments from Le Wand will fit any Wand Vibrator with a 2.45 inch head, such as the Magic Wand Plus or the Doxy Die Cast.
Le Wand Flexi Attachment
The Le Wand Flexi allows you to enjoy the powerful vibrations of your wand for internal g-spot or p-spot stimulation.
It’s made of soft hygienic silicone and even has some raised ridges for added clitoral stimulation.
Le Wand Stroke Attachment
The Le Wand Stroke Attachment makes your wand it to a powerful penis pleasing machine! The silicone wings wrap around the head or shaft and deliver encompassing vibrations.
You can use it for focussed stimulation or even to stroke up and down the shaft.
Le Wand Flick
The Le Wand Flick creates a delicious fluttering sensation that feels fantastic on the nips or clit!
It allows you to switch from the broad stimulation of the wand head to the more precise stimulation the flick delivers for a bit more variety in your wand play!
Wand Vibrator Features to Look For
With the reputation that magic wand vibrators have garnered over the years for being particularly powerful beasts, it’s no surprise that many can be intimidated about how to start using one. If you’re a wand vibrator novice, here are some things to consider before you take the plunge and make your first purchase…
Corded vs Cordless
Corded wands have the advantage of never running out battery. If you are near a plug, these bad boys are good to go! Mains power used to be the only way to get intense power but now rechargeable wands can give the corded wands a run for their money.
Rechargeable wands have the advantage of not having a cord to get in the way or needing to be near a plug outlet. You do, however, need to remember to keep it recharged!
Power
Magic Wand Vibrators are, by and large, powerful vibrators that provide intense stimulation. If you aren’t a fan of powerful vibrations, a wand vibrator might not be the best choice. That being said, there are some, like the Dame Com, that are more gentle. The best way to find out is by reading reviews!
Noise
With great power comes great noise. Is that not the quote? Either way, personal wand massagers are not known for their subtlety. The more powerful a wand is, the louder it tends to be. If you need a very quiet, discreet vibrator you might want to opt for a slightly smaller or less powerful wand as they tend to be quieter.
Sizes
Most magic wand vibrators were originally designed for massaging the body, so it had a long handle to make it easy to reach all over the body. Coincidentally, the long handles also make it easy to reach your clit from a lying position, and large, bulbous vibrating heads allow for maximum surface contact with your clit and vulva.
If you struggle with bigger, heavier toys, or you just prefer something smaller look for models that are described as mini wands, petite wands, or compact wands.
Waterproof or splashproof
Corded wands will never be waterproof and should be kept dry during use and cleaning.
However, some rechargeable wands are waterproof or splashproof. This makes them much easier to clean and means you can enjoy them in the shower!
Beware of Counterfeits
Wand vibrators, especially the Magic Wand-brand wands, are pretty ubiquitous, which means that they’re popular targets for fakery and scams. Counterfeit vibrating wands, however, aren’t just a rip-off – they can be pretty dangerous.
Putting cheaply-made fake electronics anywhere your genitals is a big no-no. They could break, get hot, or even spark, and you don’t want to get harmed in the process. You can make sure your Magic Wand is authentic by buying from trusted, reputable sellers.
Are Wand Vibrators Safe?
Yes, most magic wand vibrators are totally safe when used correctly and with some common sense. Like any other vibrator, you won’t desensitize your clitoris, vulva or vagina by using one ‘too often’, because that’s simply not a thing! However, there are definitely some things to consider to make sure that a wand is safe to use, including:
Was it Made to be a Sex Toy?
As you now know from the section above, the original Magic Wand vibrator was created as a piece of sports equipment. While I’m very grateful for those pioneering women who discovered how great it could be as a sex toy, I don’t advocate doing the same today.
You should only consider using a magic wand vibrator for clitoral stimulation if it was specifically designed to be a sex toy!
What is it Made From?
The materials that a magic wand vibrator is made from will greatly impact its safety, as well as its longevity and quality!
The head (what will be coming into contact with your body) is the most important part here. You should always stick to wand heads with non-porous materials — in most cases, this will be silicone.
Non-porous means that, unlike porous materials, the surface is free from microscopic pores, or holes, that can harbor bacteria, viruses, fungi and other germs. Porous materials, like PVC, rubber and vinyl, are incredibly difficult to clean and can potentially introduce these germs to your sensitive genital area. So, avoid them!
How Long Are You Using it For?
Since magic wand vibrators are so notoriously powerful, it pays to watch out for how long you use them for.
Lower quality and/or older wand massager models have a tendency to heat up with use, and could potentially cause injury if you don’t turn them off and give them time to cool down.
In fact, some models, like the Hitachi Magic Wand, have an automatic timer that switches the toy off after 15 minutes to prevent this from happening.
Always Read the Leaflet!
As Edwina found when she reviewed the Magic Wand Rechargeable, wand massagers can come with a lot of warnings and advice from the manufacturer!
I recommend reading these thoroughly before you use your wand, as there might be some warnings that are applicable to you. After all, magic wand vibrators are meant to be pleasurable, but not at the expense of your health.
Why Choose a Smaller Wand?
Not sure whether you’d be better off with a mini wand massager or a full-sized magic wand vibrator? Here are the main pros and cons of each to help you decide!
Small
Pros:
- More discreet than full-size masager wands
- Ideal for beginners
- Tend to be cordless and USB-rechargeable
- More travel-friendly
- Less expensive

- Short handle not as easy to reach genitals
- Not as many attachment options
Full-Sized

- Lots of universal attachment options
- Long handle makes it easy to reach genitals
- Buttons tend to be easier to use
