My Verdict
The Sportsheets Bondage Bar is interesting. I was hoping for more of a spreader bar, but this truly is a bondage or a “stay put” bar. I feel like it serves a very specific purpose. For BDSM use, it is easy to wiggle out of, which I found a bit disappointing. For some things, it’s nice that it’s one solid piece, but I also wish it had removable cuffs to maneuver into other positions while still using the bar. If you are curvy like I am, this bar may be uncomfortable, although depending on what you are into, I suppose that’s the point! So, if that’s what you are looking for, I guess this would be great for you!

About The Sportsheets Bondage Bar
The Bondage Bar is rigid and covered in a nylon material. There are 4 cuffs attached to one side of the bar — the outer part of the cuffs is nylon but has a soft neoprene lining. I find the Velcro on the cuffs uncomfortable and scratchy, but it does seem to stay put. I just can’t get them tight enough to the point that I can’t wiggle out. There are not any other hooks or loops to add other bondage items or toys too. I think that would be helpful for adding rope play or something similar.

Personal Experience
I wish this bar was also a spreader bar and had removable cuffs. It is very sturdy and inflexible, and that’s helpful for a lot of bondage play, but I think buckle-style cuffs would be more helpful as they would be harder to escape from. In my experience, that is part of the fun in the bondage play! At first glance, it’s not much to look at but it serves its purpose. I like that the cuffs are located on one side so the bar can lay flat if need be.
Curvy Girl Problems
We tried using this bar in a few different positions. Personally, I found most of them uncomfortable and I think this is due to me being curvy. This is where I think it being a spreader bar as well would be useful. When you’re thick with not much thigh gap to work with it makes things a little bit harder. You need a bit more room to work with, if ya know what I mean! I also think the removable cuffs would help here. There would be more options to play and other positions to try.Discomfort
I don’t mind the nylon on the bar, but I found that it rubbed on my wrists and ankles when bound along with the Velcro. The padding inside the cuff is thick and helps. Unfortunately, with the cuff sewn into the bar, it’s not very comfortable to wear either. It’s not rounded so you have a flat side on one side. Then, you are not able to tighten then very well. I have definitely mastered the art of escape in these.Design
The Sportsheets Bondage Bar is a very basic design. Every piece is solid black. There are no designs. The bar is flat and rectangle with 4 cuffs attached — simple and straight to the point. With bondage toys like this, I do prefer simplicity. It’s not really used as a show piece and is used to do a specific job. It doesn’t feel good when wearing it for too long, though. It starts to rub after a while. If the nylon was covered in a softer fabric, I think it would help.
Ease of Use
This product is very easy to use. Your ankles go into the outer two cuffs and your wrists go in the inner two cuffs. This is suitable for anyone whether you are new or experienced in the BDSM lifestyle. It helps if you are flexible, or you may end up very uncomfortable. You don’t have to use the wrist cuffs and ankle cuffs at the same time, but you cannot remove the ones you are not currently using.
Quality
The sturdiness of the bar makes this feel like a higher quality item but the nylon covering makes it feel like a seatbelt strap. It does feel like a reliable product to me. It shouldn’t wear out too easily. I think the padding in the cuffs feels like it may tear if getting caught on something but at the same time its thick so hopefully it would take a bit before it affects the quality of the product.
Price
I don’t think this is worth what you pay for it. There is not much to it and it’s not very big. It’s a bondage bar but its not adjustable, cuffs or bar. It's hard to be bonded to it when you can easily get out of the cuffs. There aren’t any special features. It's not very comfortable to use for a long period of time.
Performance
This is best used with a partner. I guess you could try it on your own, but I am not sure what you are going to do with it ha! There are no electrical or moving parts for this product to use. The only things to worry about are the cuffs. These are not the best because they are not adjustable. If you can, have your partner strap in your wrists for the best fit.
Packaging
I found the packaging quite interesting. It was neat that it had the front panel that opened to show you a better image of how it could be used. It also showed you what the product was made of and how to clean it. It’s helpful when this is on the packaging instead of having to look up the information online. Although if you are like me, you usually throw the packaging away and have to look up that information later anyway.
Materials and care
This is easy to clean. For light cleaning, I just use a wet rag. You can also machine wash it then I just let it air dry. This is a lightweight product and easy to store. You don’t get any storage cases or anything with it, but I just throw it in my duffel bag with my other BDSM toys and it seems to keep very well there.
