Design

The kit looks fantastic! The nipple suckers have a great build quality to them and despite being made of plastic, feel incredibly sturdy. The faux flogger feels nice in the hands, but does lack the softness of real leather. Lastly, the bondage rope is an extremely smooth nylon. There isn’t much heat produced from friction when using the rope, but it does tend to slide on the body more than some other materials such as hemp or jute rope.

Ease of Use

There isn’t much complexity of these items on their own, they are all relatively straight forward to use. You can use them in a variety of ways however, and that’s where the fun begins. The finger flogger is a simple tool on its own, but combing its use with soft touches, ice, or even candle wax really take the sensations to a whole new level. Without a handle, the flogger is a bit harder to control, but for shorter less intense sessions I think it’s a great alternative. The nipple suckers are extremely simple to use, twisting one way to increase the intensity, twisting the other way to decrease intensity. The rope however is where I have to implore caution. As simple as it might seem to tie your partners hands and feet up with this kit, it is extremely important to take all necessary cautions to avoid serious injury. There is a lot of nerve damage that could occur from tying yourself or your partner on the wrong part of the body with improper tension. So the bondage rope, as simple and easy a tool it may seem to be, actually requires the most skill to use!

Quality

The Tied and Twisted kit is of reasonable quality. The items aren’t the most premium or luxurious on the market, but they feel far from cheap. You will definitely get longevity out of this purchase. Much of the shortcomings are seen in the material of the faux leather flogger. The faux leather just doesn’t have the same softness as real leather and that has an impact on how the flogger feels during play. It has a bit more of a “stingy” feel rather than a “thuddy” feel. Which to some, that may be a positive thing, however, my significant other happens to be of the sensitive bottom variety, so she wasn’t as big of a fan. The bondage rope material leaves a bit to be desired as well. Although nylon rope is preferred by some riggers and many beginners do start out on the material, I prefer hemp rope. The silky feel of the nylon is nice in the hands and on the body, however I found it didn’t stay in place as well as I would have liked. I also wasn’t a fan of the black colored rope because it made it much harder to see the intricate rope work I was spending so much time on. I would also like to point out that online it states the rope comes with “metal end caps”, however I found this to not be true as mine came with simple clear tape covering the ends. I had no issues with this performance wise, but found it interesting and worth noting.

Price

I definitely found a huge value in this bondage kit! I think for $50 it’s a great introductory kit that exposes you to many different elements of BDSM that you may have never tried before! While there aren’t any fun extras/surprises that come along, what you get in the box is definitely worth the price tag.

Performance

I believe the Tied and Twisted kit definitely met my expectations. While I wasn’t blown away by the quality or packaging, I was by no means complaining. I received exactly what I was expecting (minus the metal end caps on the rope), with no extra frills. Everything worked just as expected and it all has the quality to last.

Packaging

The packaging was clear and obvious as to what was inside. There was a nice “included inside” list on the back that illustrated all the items I was to find in the box. There were no storage bags included, but it would’ve been nice to have one so the nipple suckers don’t get separated as easily. I also wish they would’ve included a simple “how to” guide for people using bondage rope for the first time. It would have been a great addition to have a simple guide on how to create a basic chest harness or single column tie. At the very least, it should’ve included a warning and a list of all the places on the body you shouldn’t tie.

Materials and care

The materials of the kit are all body safe, nickel free, and faux leather. The rope is polyester and the safety shears are stainless steel so there shouldn’t be any issues for people with allergies who want to use this kit! All of the products included can simply be wiped down with a damp wash cloth with a mild disinfectant spray. It really doesn’t get much easier!
