Tantus POP Squirting Dildo Review
My Verdict
My experience with the Tantus POP Squirting Dildo had a few ups and downs. First of all, I appreciate the body-safe silicone and the overall quality of the product. I think the design is perfect for intermediate users, and the rounded tip felt really good on the g-spot and a-spot. I also appreciate the subtle design that doesn't exactly scream realism. Changing the tubes was a lot easier than I expected, so that was actually a huge plus! One major drawback is not being able to reuse the tube and having to order more when the three included are used up. Another major drawback for me was the low volume of liquid the syringe could contain. While that smaller amount does shoot out with a moderately impressive squirt, I wasn't satisfied with the overall experience. It seemed like a lot of work for very short-lived fun. I also struggled so much with removing the tip of the tube, that I accidentally tore some of the silicone around the "urethra" hole. All in all, I think there are better squirting dildos out there that have more to offer for a smaller price.

It comes with three tubes (that are meant to be discarded after each use), a small syringe, a sachet of POP powder to aid in the assembly, and a storage bag to keep everything in one place.

Personal Experience
Project POP
When I first received the Tantus POP, I was so excited to play around with the squirting function! Before actually trying the dildo out for its intended purposes, I wanted to get familiar with the mechanism first. In the name of reviewing this function by itself to really inspect the force and volume of the ‘ejaculation’, I decided to ask Isabelle for help to load the syringe and film a video.Small Syringe = Small Volume
Following the instructions, we poured the CREAMY Cum-Style Lube into a sterile cup and dunked the tip of the dildo into it while pulling the syringe. Since we weren’t aware of little liquid the syringe could actually hold, we tried out best to pump as much lube into the tube as we could. When the time came for the blast-off, we were left a bit disappointed. Camera at the ready, fingers on the syringe, and out came the tiniest amount. Sure, it did shoot out with some force behind it, but the sheer volume was a bust.Thick Lube VS Thin Lube
I thought the thickness of the cum-style lube was perhaps too thick for this size tube and syringe. So, I experimented with a lube that was a lot more watery. This was definitely an improvement, as the squirt was a bit higher and more powerful. Still, the volume of it wasn’t enough to make me excited about trying it out at home. Not For Those Who Dream of Cum-Fetish Fun
Once I had cleaned and sterilized the dildo and reassembled it with a new tube and tip, I was ready to try it out myself. As a dildo, it does a good job with the rounded head targeting internal sweet spots. I don’t have any complaints but I’m also not blown away. I wouldn’t say I have a cum-fetish per se, but I was excited about the prospect of playing around with a squirting dildo. Mainly because I always associate squirting dildos with (unrealistically) large amounts of liquid, which I think is a fairly common expectation. So even though I tried to give it a chance with two different lube consistencies, the volume just wasn’t satisfactory. You can feel the slight kickback from the syringe (when releasing it quickly) but nothing that quite lived up to my expectations. To fully enjoy it, I think I would have to purchase a larger syringe and more tubes. For a product at this price point, I would have expected a larger syringe from the get-go.Design
I appreciate the simplicity of how the Tantus POP Squirting Dildo is designed. I also like how it's not made to look super realistic but that there are some skin-toned color options. The rounded tip felt really good as it rubbed up against my g-spot and a-spot. The length and girth is great for both beginners and intermediate users. As someone who does enjoy more girthy insertables, I personally might have enjoyed something a bit larger. The subtle vertical ridges on the base of the shaft are–according to Tantus–supposed to add some sensation but it wasn't really noticeable to me.
Ease of Use
While 'loading' the Tantus POP with liquid came with a bit of a learning curve, it is actually pretty easy to use. The instruction said to put the tube through the dildo, secure the tube to the syringe, and dunk the tip of the dildo/tube into a sterile cup full of your liquid of choice while pulling the syringe back. Compared to some other squirting dildos (where you simply put the liquid into the syringe itself) this process definitely seems a lot more inconvenient. It's also quite difficult to do by yourself! On the plus side, I found that inserting a new tube into the dildo was a lot easier than I thought it would be. With the POP powder (basically cornstarch) it slipped right through!
Quality
For the most part, the Tantus POP is a decent quality squirting dildo. Its made of body-safe non-porous silicone, and can be fully sterilized once it's disassembled. However, a few things pulled down my overall score a bit. First of all, the seams of the silicone were a bit messy under the base. The channels for the tube and the hole itself had some excess silicone that just looked a bit messy. Second of all, the silicone around the 'urethra' hole tore a bit as I tried to remove the tip of the tube in there. The tubes aren't made of silicone and aren't made to be reusable, which doesn't bode well for the quality compared to other squirting dildos out there.
Price
The Tantus POP Squirting Dildo is very overpriced in my opinion. At the time I got it, it was originally priced at $140 (different prices on different online shops) but is now reduced by 70% ($42) on a lot of shops online. This price reduction seems a lot more appropriate for the product you're getting, in my opinion. I'm usually willing to pay for a quality product made of quality materials, but for something that arrives with a syringe that can hold 2 ml (half a teaspoon!) and, furthermore, requires you to buy additional tubes and a larger syringe additionally, I think $140 is way too much! Now, that it's reduced, I have an easier time getting behind the price point.
Performance
The Tantus POP didn't really live up to my expectations of a squirting dildo. The shape and size of the dildo itself is nice, and the rounded tip does feel good against my g-spot and a-spot. Although, other than that, it's not a revolutionary experience to me. The squirting itself was quite the let-down with such a small volume of liquid. All in all, I was expecting to have a lot more fun with this thing than I ended up having.
Packaging
The packaging for the Tantus POP was very simple. It came in this black plastic bag where there was also a storage bag, two additional tubes and tips, a sachet of renewal powder (cornstarch), and a small manual.
Materials and care
The dildo itself is made of health-grade silicone and is 100% body-safe. It's super easy to clean and can be sterilized by boiling it for a few minutes. The tubes and tips included are meant to be discarded after use. It's a plus that you won't need to bother with fully cleaning the tubes, but I would honestly rather not have to buy new tubes every time. You still need to thoroughly clean the syringe with warm soapy water. Once the dildo and syringe are fully dry, you can store them in the included storage bag.
Special feature
The squirting feature obviously makes the Tantus POP stand out from other dildos. However, I was a bit disappointed with this feature. I didn’t realize the syringe didn’t hold more than the equivalent of half a teaspoon of liquid. This just doesn’t make for great fake cum-play. If I were hoping to realize some cum-fetish dreams with this squirting dildo, I would definitely be upset about having to make an additional purchase to get extra tubes and a larger syringe to make that happen.
