When I tested the VibePad 2, I had already reviewed the Original VibePad, so I had some idea of what to expect. What I didn’t know was how much the new features of the VibePad 2 would improve the concept of the Original and create a more pleasurable user experience.

Design

The VibePad 2 is an oval-shaped grinding toy with two vibrating arches spread out over its surface. It's made from smooth, body-safe silicone that feels extra gentle on bare skin and makes for a seamless glide-and-grind. Each arch has its own motor, which means they can vibrate together or independently. One of the arches features a protruding silicone tongue, which applies quick, fluttering stimulation to the clitoris (and it feels amazing). Finally, the entire toy heats up. This might be my favorite feature, actually. The way the warmth ignites the erectile tissue throughout my vulva really makes it extra sensitive and receptive to pleasure!

Ease of Use

The VibePad 2 is super accessible and easy to use. It's a portable grinding pad that can be plopped onto any stable surface. When you've got it where you want it, you literally just sit on it and grind away! Every feature can be controlled with the remote too. Gotta' love a user-friendly design. The only thing to note, in my experience, is that you have to pay attention to how the tongue lines up with your vulva. With the Original, the surface of the toy is completely smooth, so you don't really have to make anything align. But the VibePad 2's protruding tongue demands a little more accuracy.

Quality

Nothing but quality materials here. The silicone is pure and body-safe, the remote is durable and easy to use, and the entire toy feels luxuriously smooth. The heating function is very well executed, and never feels too hot. But it also doesn't feel like it can't get hot enough (it can reach 131 degrees Fahrenheit!) This toy is also nice and quiet, even on its highest settings. I can just tell that it's going to last me a good, long while.

Price

The VibePad isn't exactly cheap, but in the world of sex toys, you get what you pay for. It's not easy to find a good grinding toy with an accessible design that actually does what it's advertised to do. But the VibePad 2 is a *fantastic* grinding toy that delivers on everything it promises to do and then some. Absolutely worth every penny.

Performance

The VibePad 2 exceeded my expectations, which were already quite high. It's surprisingly powerful, and its vibrations are more rumbly than buzzy, which I love. It's also nice and quiet! The tongue flicking feature also feel amazing and not at all sharp like with some toys I've tried. Sometimes toys with tongues or protruding parts end up feeling a little poke-y, but the tongue on this toy is so smooth, soft and flexible, it adapts to the weight of your body in a comfortable and pleasurable way.

Packaging

The VibePad 2 comes in simple packaging that gets the job done. It's not the kind of luxurious, storybook-style packaging you get from some brands (like Womanizer, for example), but that's fine by me. There's a lot of helpful information printed on the box itself, as well as an illustration depicting a woman straddling the VibePad 2.

Materials and care

The VibePad 2 is made out of body-safe silicone and feels super smooth to the touch. It's durable, flexible, fully waterproof, and easy to clean. Simply spray it down with toy cleaner and rinse, or use mild soap and warm water. Because it's got a flat, flexible shape, it's easy to stow away in a drawer or bedside table.
